I am an avid reader because I love to learn.

I enjoy reading books of all genre. Like all teachers I do spend time reading “teacher” books. I want to learn how to expand my techniques, introduce new ideas and have a growth mindset when it comes to my field. I also LOVE to read social and organizational psychology, books about business, creativity, design, the arts, historical fiction and there’s always room for a good mystery book to enjoy by the pool.

In this space I want to share books with the teaching community that you may or may not have read. I will write about some of the highlights, and how my notes on how the book will effect my teaching, lesson planning and overall classroom. Hopefully we can create an interesting community of teachers sharing our thoughts and the lessons we have learned from some amazing books!
